BUSHENYI: After a long search, Butuuro SACCO has announced a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/ General Manager.
The SACCO’s Board of Directors led by the Chairman Eng. Benson Tumuhimbise unveiled Denis Komunda on Monday as the new General Manager.
The function to officially announce the new general manager took place at the SACCO’s head offices in Nyakabirizi Division in Bushenyi/Ishaka Municipality.
It was attended by the SACCO’s top leadership, the Bushenyi District Deputy Resident Commissioner Katsigazi Donanta, the Bushenyi district commercial officer Hope Komujuni, the Bushenyi/Ishaka Municipal commercial officer Aggrey Ategyeka, the SACCO’s founder and patron Pison Mugizi among others.

Komunda brings on board a wealth of experience after having been at the helm of the institution’s loans department as a Credit Manager since 2014.
“Komunda possesses a deep understanding of our organization’s operations after having worked closely with various teams and we have high hopes that he will double the growth and improvement of Butuuro,” said the chairman.

The Board chairman challenged Komunda to drive the growth by leveraging on his experience and expertise in order to drive business growth and also improve efficiency plus Identifying areas that require improvement to be able to serve the members effectively.
Mugizi asked the new General Manager to foster collaboration and teamwork across the SACCO’s stakeholders.
The deputy RDC Katsigazi congratulated Komunda and cautioned him on a number of issues which have led to collapsing of different SACCOs in the region.

In his acceptance speech, Komunda said, “It’s with great humility and appreciation that I receive your warm congratulatory messages on my appointment as the new General Manager of this noble SACCO.” Komunda pledged to lead the SACCO’s team with integrity, purpose and dedication by carefully addressing the SACCO’s Human Capital Development, Profitability, and Zero Torelence to fraud.
Komunda hailed the entire SACCO’s membership and leadership noting that, “Allow me to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for your continued investment and commitment to the growth and stability of our SACCO.”
“Your trust is the foundation on which we shall continue to build a strong and a member centered institution,” he noted. End.
