BUSHENYI: A new General Manager to take on Diocese of West Ankole’s Diocesan Jubilee Sacco has been appointed.
Ronald. W. Mugisha was unveiled on Wednesday by the Board of Directors. Mugisha takes over from Allan Tibikundura the SACCO’s Internal Auditor who has been in the acting position as the General Manager since last year.
The handover and swearing in ceremony took place at the SACCO’s headquarters in the boardroom in the presence of the Sacco’s Patron and Bishop Diocese of West Ankole Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni.
Twinomujuni stressed that the Diocese gathers with joy to welcome the new General Manager into the great institution born out of the vision of the Diocese of West Ankole to uplift people socially and economically while keeping their roots firm in faith.
The Bishop commended Tibikundura, for the work well done and handing over a healthy SACCO.
Twinomujuni reminded the incoming General Manager (Mugisha) that the responsibility he has taken as a financial stewardship is sacred, noting that the resources of the SACCO are not mere figures. “They represent the sweat, sacrifice, and hope of our people,” the Bishop stressed adding that, “guard them with integrity and transparency.”

The SACCO’s BOD Chairman Rev. Can. Arthur Atwiine congratulated Mugisha and thanked Tibikundura for handing over a SACCO whose growth is remarkable.
In his acceptance speech, Mugisha expressed his gratitude to the SACCO Patron, and the BOD for giving him an honor to serve Jubilee Sacco in the managerial role.
Mugisha promised and committed to give stakeholders quality, affordable, timely, innovative and well tailored customer centred products and services aimed at stimulating sustainable growth and utmost leadership.


The handover was witnessed by the SACCO’s BOD members, the Municipal Commercial Officer – Bushenyi – Ishaka Municipality Aggrey Ategyeka and staff representatives.
About the new General Manager
Mugisha joins Jubilee SACCO with a vast experience after having served at Kyamuhunga People’s SACCO (KYAPS) one of the giant SACCOs in the country for over 15years.
He started as a cashier to a credit officer/manager before he was elevated to head KYAPS’s Katerera branch.
At the time of his appointment, Mugisha has been working as KYAPS’s marketing Manager heading the docket (marketing.”
About JUBILEE SACCO LTD
JUBILEE SACCO started in 1997 as an initiative of West Ankole Diocese with the aim and vision of serving God’s people, and solve challenges that Christians were encountering in borrowing money from money lenders.
It started as a pension scheme for West Ankole Diocesan workers, especially the clergy as the major target group.
- In 2004, with the consent of all members, the scheme was transformed and registered as a SACCO with registration number 7052 by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies in Uganda.

Jubilee SACCO currently has seven branches. That is:Bushenyi Main branch-Bushenyi town,Kabwohe branch-Sheema,Kashenshero branch-Kashensherotown,Kitagata branch in Kitagata town in Sheema district,Bihanga branch in Nyakishenyi trading centre and Ndekye branch and Katerera in Rubirizi district. And it has two Sub-branches that include ; shaka – Ishaka town, Shuuku –in Sheema district and one Outreach in Kyabugimbi Town council and a collection centre in Ankole Western University. End
