GULU: The Annual Ambassadors’ Conference 2025 kicked off this week at Gulu University in Gulu City.
The week long conference which has been organized by the ministry of foreign affairs in coordination with the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) is being attended by all Uganda’s envoys to the overseas.
The conference is being held under the theme ‘Strengthening the Foreign Service’s Contribution to National Development’.
In his opening remarks, the OWC Chief Coordinator Gen. Salim Saleh underscored the importance of strong leadership and diplomacy in shaping Uganda’s development journey.

Gen Saleh reaffirmed the link between foreign policy, national development, and strategic leadership, as Uganda seeks to maximize the benefits of diplomacy.
Gen Saleh challenged participants to deeply reflect on Uganda’s rich economic history citing the 1946 Protectorate Development Plan, the 1986 Economic Restructuring and Recovery Program, the National Development Plan III and IV, as well as the guiding framework of Musevenomics.
