He explained that, ‘’I have got a circular that the National festival will be running from 22nd August and we shall be performing jointly with Kenya because we discovered that the concepts of this year’s festival are the same as theirs (Kenya.)” “During the meeting we proposed that schools should report on 19th August and the matter was to be taken to the permanent secretary to release an invitation to your schools,” he noted.

Flavia Ninsiima, Headmistress Kibingo Girls, noted that ‘’MDD competitions are helpful in schools because its under Ministry of Education and Sports and this helps them in developing their talents and skills since we are now moving to competent based curriculum. It also helps students to shade off stress thus helping them in their academics’’.

Mariam Twijukye, MDD teacher Bweranyangi Girls, thanked the lord for after winning the competitions noting that if it wasn’t for the Lord, they wouldn’t have celebrated.

She also added that the students also develop their talents through such competitions, ‘’The students are also developing their talents with the little time they have for studies and they do it with passion. Forexample the Drama narrative, the script was written by the girl that presented because she does performing arts and also most of the other kits they compose them themselves so I think with the rise of unemployment, our students wont lack to be employed because when they get to the next level, they are going to be song writers and trainers’’.
